We made it to China and I got my VPN working, so get ready for lots of posts! The news is that after a grueling trek -- Dulles to San Francisco to Seoul to Tianjin to Beijing -- we made it here. Moments after arriving, I managed to lock poor Smudge in the bathroom. She's out again, but funny stories to follow. They're only funny, of course, because the cat survived.
